Music Workshop with Elation Ministries Sat 27th Feb, 1pm-6pm
The Music Workshop takes place in The Prince of Wales Hotel, Athlone from 1pm – 6pm on Saturday 27th February.

The aim for this music workshop is to share experiences of ministering to people through music and song and to bring that focus of "music ministry" rather than "performance" to other musicians and singers. We share on the different tasks of the music ministry, practical issues to be addressed when ministering in different settings and other highs and lows of music ministry that people may experience. We get people to reflect on scripture and through personal reflection to then compose their own songs of prayer within a group context. People are also given a short workshop on the workings of a P.A. and sound equipment that may be required when ministering. Our workshops aim to help people who feel their gifts of music and song can be used in service of the Church in whatever setting they are needed i.e. Parish choir/ Prayer Meeting/ Religious Conferences/ Retreat work.

Y2k Mass in Mayfield 10 Mar

There will be a Mass organised by the Mayfield Prayer Meeting.
The Mass will be held in The Stables, in Ennismore on Wednesday the 10th of March 2010 at 8pm.
Afterwards there will be a cup of tea.

Clonmacnois Prayer Vigil Fri 19th Mar
All night prayer vigil every 3rd Friday of the month takes place in Cluain Chiarain, Clonmacnois, Co Offaly. Starts at 10pm with Mass followed by Eucharistic Adoration, finishes 3.10am.
Post-vigil accommodation available – please bring sleeping bag.
Prayer intention is for renewal of faith life in Clonmacnois and the evangelisation of Ireland. Open to all ages.

Join us in climbing Croagh Patrick on Saturday 20 March 2010.
Meet at the base of Croagh Patrick at 12 noon on Saturday 20th March. Mass at 3pm at the top for anyone brave enough to reach the top!!
Please wear suitable clothing for the climb and walking boots or runners. Maybe bring a backpack with a packed lunch & plenty of water. Raincoat, sunglasses & a camera would be handy too!
If u can't make the climb maybe you'd join us for the meal afterwards in Wesport about 6.30/7pm. It will be table d'hotel which means from €10. Please let Maria know if you'd like to join us for the meal as numbers need to be confirmed in advance.
