From the East (eg Dublin):

Leave the M6 at Junction 7 and follow brown signposts along R444 for “Clonmacnoise” (approx 15KM from M6).

There is one T junction on R444 after approx 4KM from M6 which is not officially signposted: Go left at it, otherwise follow signposts all of the way.

Upon arrival parking will be divided into “Day Parking” and “Weekend Parking”. If you are staying for the weekend and will NOT be using your car until you leave then please use Weekend Parking (Car park volunteers will advise you upon arrival).

From the West (eg Galway):

Go around behind Ballinasloe town centre, then turn right on to the Shannonbridge/Cloghan road, go through Shannonbridge and Clonmacnoise is a signposted short drive from there.
