The Youth 2000 festival is run on a donation only basis as we don't want money to be an obstacle for the young people coming. However there are considerable costs to be paid - for example to rent the marquees, catering, light and heat etc. If you find yourself in a position to be able to help support the festival financially, your donation would be greatly appreciated.

Towards the end of the last millennium, Youth 2000 abandoned itself to the providence of God by taking a decision not to charge a fixed price for attending its events. At the heart of this decision was a deep belief that the initiative should exclude no-one and should reach out to the poorest of the poor - those who are suffering both material and spiritual poverty.

Youth 2000 remains true to this, firm in the belief that God will always provide for the initiative and that young people should always be able to benefit from its retreats, even if they have little or no money.

So this is why we really appreciate any financial support for the work of Youth 2000. Although Youth 2000 runs on a shoestring budget, the costs still mount up. The festival will cost approximately €100,000 to put on. We offer this festival on a donation only basis so as to allow ALL young people attend, regardless of finances. Thanks to the incredible generosity from our donors over the years, we are able to continue this but we still need YOUR help!
